Shade is a supporting character, contractor, and mission coordinator in PAYDAY 3. She is the new handler of the Payday Gang and former associate of Bain, currently responsible for running Crime.net's servers.
Background
Aside from being an associate of Bain's and having been acquainted with Dallas in the past, most of Shade's prior history is shrouded in mystery. Regardless, Shade became the surviving Payday gang's trusted handler when mysterious assassins sent by an unknown party made an attempt on their lives, coordinating all of the heists throughout PAYDAY 3.

Trivia
- Compared to Bain and Vernon Locke, Shade is less professional and more prone to swearing.
- In a similar vein, she is less popular among the PAYDAY community compared to the Payday gang's two previous handlers, primarily due to criticism regarding the delivery of some of Shade's voicelines or players simply missing Bain and Locke.
- Shade has a significant portion of unused dialogue displaying her attitude and personality much more prominently, with most of the dialogue not being implemented due to PAYDAY 3's development making certain voicelines 'unusual'. It has been stated that some of the unused dialogue will be implemented in the future.
- Unused dialogue implies Shade consider civilian casualties to be more of a business expense compared to Bain and Locke.
- Shade has dialogue regarding civilians pressing the panic button. She also has unused dialogue whenever a heist goes loud.
- Unused Road Rage heist dialogue has Shade having fun remotely controlling a GenSec truck.
- Some unused dialogue related to PAYDAY 3's dialogue wheel system suggests that Shade would've gotten annoyed at the players for spamming the system, often demanding they re-focus on the heist.
- A few heist has intro dialogue, similar to how Bain, Locke and some of the Payday crew members would have special dialogue during the intro to a heist.
- Shade's appearance in the first cutscene and heist selection slightly differ, with differing hair color and direction her hair faces.
