FBI Files: According to field reports, the other members of the gang call this one “Clover”. Another foreign national, we believe Irish, so possibly a connection to “Hoxton”. She was the first to join the crew when it began to expand, and our initial sighting of her was during the Diamond heist at the McKendrick Museum.
“Clover” favours the L-95 assault rifle, which is only issued to the British military. We are currently liaising with the Garda Síochána, checking into Irish paramilitary groups, and any instances of stolen weapons.

Rochelle Maloney, better known as Clover, is an Irish Burglar and former apprentice of Hoxton. She was released in her eponymous DLC on December 16th, 2014 along with her signature weapons, the Queen’s Wrath and Clover's Shillelagh. Clover is the first playable female heister in PAYDAY 2 and the seventh playable heister overall.
She also returns as the seventh playable heister in PAYDAY 3, alongside the Boys in Blue DLC.
Clover grew up in a rough house in a rough part of town in Dublin into a traditional fighter's family, her ancestors have fought in wars for generations and Clover is thus fiercely dedicated to her heritage. The mask she now wears, as well as the name she goes by, Clover, is her own symbol of luck and a way of expressing her Irish pride.
Prior to PAYDAY 2
Clover was once an apprentice of Hoxton, whom she tried to "pull the Pigeon Drop" on at an unspecified time in the past, "just a day off the Holyhead ferry". Hoxton, being an experienced crook and conman by then, had anticipated this, however, and quickly outmatched the then-inexperienced Clover, though instead of taking out the young woman, he saw something worthwhile in her and decided to take her under his wing and taught her everything he knew. Soon after, the duo was everywhere, grifting across the UK and pulling off so many jobs that Clover soon gained enough experience that she was able to hold on her own.
After a long period of heisting, Clover decided to go solo. During one job, she and Hoxton hijacked a lorry full of Territorial Army L-95’s, but Clover instead stole the whole lot and drove off with it on Hoxton, leaving him to fight his way out, though not before giving him the 'two-finger salute', (an English-born gesture of insult), leaving him to fend for himself. The Englishman contemplated killing her right then and there but ultimately decided to let her go, figuring that she'd do alright and was proud that he'd taught her well, as Clover having the guts to pull off a stunt like that was proof to Hoxton that his teachings had stuck. Clover later sold the rifle shipment to rebels but kept one of the rifles as her signature weapon to remind her of that fateful day, and of her first teacher.
PAYDAY 2
As a career criminal, Clover would eventually hone her skills to becoming a stealthy and sneaky burglar, specialising in jewel thefts; heists like Diamond Heist and The Diamond should be right up her alley. In fact, Clover was inducted into the PAYDAY gang by Bain because of her knowledge of the aforementioned Diamond and it would seem likely that the aforementioned knowledge proved instrumental in pulling off the job. With Hoxton later freed from jail and now a free man once more, their paths have crossed once again.
Offshore Payday
After The White House heist, Clover returned to Ireland with Aldstone and bought a castle, later breeding and training horses.
PAYDAY 3

Although Clover retired from crime alongside the rest of the Payday gang, evidently, she got bored of her now-crimeless lifestyle, returning to Dublin at some point with the intent to restart her criminal career.
Clover found her old stomping grounds teeming with a new generation of inexperienced upstarts and petty criminals. Unruly, undisciplined, but ripe with potential. Stealing a page from a certain British mentor figure in her life, Clover decided to take these lil’ gobshites under her wing. She would create a new gang of professional heisters, and Ireland would be their treasure trove.
But then, a merciless enemy came calling, and everything Clover built went up in flames. Back to square one and pissed as hell, Clover reconnects with her original crew to make that bastard pay. And, ideally, get bloody rich while doing it![2]
With the help of none other than Dragan, Clover was successfully tracked down by her friends. Clover was ordering rifles with a specific setup, and a weapons dealer that both Dragan and Shade have been in contact with let it slip that he was selling rifles with this specific setup.
Clover was surprised to hear from Dallas, thanks to Vlad, and more than ready to help with the Gang's predicament with the hit on the New York's 51st Precinct Police station in the Bronx.
Behind the Scenes
In the Happy Birthday Crimenet teaser, Clover is voiced by Rhona Cameron and has a noticeably Scottish accent. Eventually, Irish actress Aoife Duffin took the role instead, and Cameron was slated to voice another future character.[3] This directly lead to the creation of Bonnie, a Scottish heister voiced by Rhona Cameron who has the exact same voice as Clover in Happy Birthday Crimenet.
Trivia
Clover was released alongside The Diamond, the fourth heist to be offered by The Dentist.
Despite being released alongside The Diamond, she seemed to be involved in breaking out Hoxton as hinted by some of the evidence seen in Hoxton Revenge.
Clover gave herself the nickname. Apparently, she's been using it for a long while as she was already calling herself that on the day she met Hoxton.
Like her former mentor and Bonnie, Clover is one of the only three characters to have been visibly arrested and/or have proof of their incarceration shown to the public.
As seen in the picture of her mugshot, Clover was apparently arrested or otherwise detained by the Dublin Police Department. The department itself is not addressed as such in real-life, but rather as the Garda Síochána (lit. "the Guardians of Peace"), though it is possible that the previous name is simply used for expediency in the internal FBI files.
It is never explained why the pager operator would believe Clover's responses even though none of the guards in the game are female. This goes for Bonnie, Hila, Sydney and Joy as well.
Clover wears a nose ring/piercing, as seen when viewing her face up close.
Like Wolf, Clover would often yell in fright when she spots a special enemy, in her case Shields and Bulldozers. She also cheers loudly–and sometimes hysterically–upon taking down a special unit on her own and sometimes she gives of a mad, sinister cackle or laugh.
The addition of Clover makes her the first female heister in the series and she was the only female heister in the game until Bonnie was added some years later.
Clover both fears and hates the act of wearing a mask. Ironically, the mask she now wears is the representation of the very things that made her dread donning it in the first place: fear and weakness.
The mask bears three-leaf clovers, which "She wears for luck"; however, it's the four-leaf clover that is symbolic for luck.
She is referred to in the internal files as "female_1", which is appropriate considering her status as the first female heister in the game.
Her given alias of Clover is a nod to her Irish nationality, as the clover leaf, officially called a Shamrock in Ireland, is the national symbol of the country itself. One of the perks in her perk deck is also literally called "Luck of the Irish", which is what the clover or shamrock also is a symbol for.
Clover was foreshadowed during Crime Fest, again during the Halloween 2014 event and then lastly during the Christmas 2014 event before her release.
Her mask is present on the Halloween website, and her name was briefly present there but quickly removed.
In the 2014 Christmas trailer, Clover appears and sings the part for the 11th day ("On the eleventh day of Christmas Payday gave to- Fuck! Eleven doors to lockpick?!") This song introduced Clover's new voice actor, Aoife Duffin, who was noted as sounding younger and significantly higher in pitch when compared to the singing of her original voice actress in the Female Heister trailer. Clover appeared prior to her release yet again in the art on the Gage Historical Pack website.
Clover has no tie, as seen on the DLC's splash card.
Clover is the first purchasable heister in the series.
As with previous new members, Clover has been added into the crew by one of the original four members, in this case, Hoxton (Houston was recruited by Dallas, John Wick was recruited by Chains.)
Her way of speech shows similarities to that of Hoxton's, being an allusion to the fact that he is her teacher.
Clover references The Walking Dead comic book series in a pager response.
This is supported in the loading screen hints where she is explicitly stated to be a fan of the Walking Dead Series.
In addition, this was likely implemented as a nod to the joint development of Overkill's The Walking Dead game.
Alongside with Sokol at times, she will occasionally refer to Bulldozers as "Big Guys".

Clover's is the first heister model to have an animated part. Her hair has additional jigglebones to allow it to move in accordance with her character model, though the way it does is unnatural and can create rather strange clipping and/or deformation issues. This is particularly prevalent when using a vehicle; Clover's hair has the tendency to glitch and deform quite significantly.
Spinning Clover around enough times on either the main menu or the new inventory screen will cause said jigglebones to glitch and become displaced so badly that they get stuck and start to stretch unnaturally and cannot reform without being reset in some manner.
In a twist of (rather appropriate) irony, Clover is appointed as the head of the new Safe House's security systems due to her experiences in outmaneuvering them. As the game puts it: you can't even go to the bathroom without Clover registering you doing that. She may even mention this when interacted with in the Safe House.
One of her hallucinations in the Prison Nightmare heist is a woman referring to Clover as "Rochelle".
When interacting with Clover in the safe house as Hoxton, she will question him if he's still mad at her for abandoning him before joining the PAYDAY gang. She will then ask him if a kiss from her would make Hoxton feel better.
PAYDAY 3
Her full name, Rochelle Maloney, was revealed in the Syntax Error heist by SINS when he starts malfunctioning.
In PAYDAY 3, Clover will sometimes accidentally refer to Hoxton as Houston before correcting herself when calling him.
Seeing as she had always known him as Hoxton, it's possible she is doing it to mess with him.
Additionally, Clover makes the same mistake when calling out Houston.
Clover and Pearl were heavily implied to have been involved in a (harmless) prank against the Gold & Sharke bank, where Pearl would "borrow" a shark mask from Clover and enter while wearing it. While neither heisters were named directly, Pearl can be seen in the article's attached image and the page directly states that her friend was Irish[6].
As Clover had only recently rejoined the gang (as of the Boys In Blue heist), Clover is unfamiliar with the new terminology of Zappers, loudly asking "what [do] we call them now?!" as if trying to not call the Zappers by their old name of Taser.
FBI documents found in the Dragan Files show Clover is wanted for the following crimes. The charges, locations and years given all matching up with a heist.
