Every hostage you trade between assault waves reduces the next player's time in custody by 10 seconds; the minimum time spent in custody is capped at 10 seconds. This time reduction resets after any player has been taken into custody.

Mechanics

The total amount of time to leave custody is decreased by 10 seconds per hostage traded between assaults.

Strategy

If there are previous skills from the Manipulator tree already equipped, then the reduced custody time is an additional benefit, along with yielded resources. To gain the minimum custody time of just 10 seconds, then 9 hostages must be traded.
